You Are Not Dead Yet

Your hand is warm,

But your gaze cold.

You used to be filled with charm,

But now you look a little old.

How long have you been walking this road?

How long have you been searching for gold?

Wait a little, calm down.

Breathe a little, ease that frown.

You're running, but look where you're going.

What do you want, do you know?

To this life, will you bow?

Breathe a little, open your eyes.

What do you want, pretend you're wise.

Hold on a little, love a little.

Don't be a train, don't follow the rails.

Turn around, you have been found.

Laugh a little, make some sound.

Talk a little, there's love around.

Live a little, scream a little.

Shout a little, cry a little.

Run a little, fall a little.

Break a little, build a little.

Look at the Sun, look at the stars.

Look at those trees, or those ugly cars.

Hear the noise, smell those roses.

It is still you, who you used to be.

You've been here but now you're here.

Why do you have your eyes wet?

It is just another sunset.

You are not dead yet.

You are not dead yet.
