Awake

I am awake.

I need to be awake.

Can’t sleep.

Shouldn’t sleep.

Got things to do,

Places to be.

And this day to stretch.

Head’s heavy.

The world’s spinning.

But I mustn’t fall.

Because I got things to do.

Places to be,

And this day to stretch.

But my head’s heavy.

And the world is spinning.

But how can I not crumble?

How can I not fall?

When all my mind and body want

Is to shut down and dissolve.

Interesting perspective and food for thought. It aligns with spiritual learnings from almost all cultures but really difficult to internalise.

Yes it really is difficult and trusting your whole being is a neverending pursuit; we can try and achieve only degrees of it. Higher if we are lucky. Thanks for the feedback ^_^
